Who we are
BaaBaa.ie runs baabaa.ie. If you have a question about your data, email contact@baabaa.ie.
What we hold about you
- Your email address, which you sign in with.
- Your name and phone number, if you add them on your Account page.
- For each device you're signed in on, a record that keeps you signed in. It holds nothing about the device itself.
- While you sign in, the code we emailed you, stored as a one-way hash so no one can read it back.
- If you search while signed in, your last five searches, the address Google matched each one to, and where it is on the map.
We hold nothing else yet. Before BaaBaa.ie asks for more, such as details about your children, this page will say what and why.
Why
To sign you in and keep your account. We need these details to give you the service you signed up for.
Who handles it for us
- Google Cloud runs our servers and database, in Belgium.
- Google Maps finds the Eircode or address you search for. Our servers send Google what you typed and nothing else.
- Google Maps supplies the map. Your browser fetches the map from Google's servers, which see your IP address as any website does.
- Umami counts visits. Your browser tells it which page you open and the site that sent you there, never what you search for. It sets no cookies, and its servers see your IP address as any website does.
How long we keep it
Until you delete it. "Delete all my data" on your Account page deletes everything at once.
Your rights
You can see, correct and delete your data. Your name and phone number are on your Account page, and "Delete all my data" deletes everything. For a copy of your data, or anything else, email contact@baabaa.ie. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission.
